Rodney D. Dir – A businessman in service of peace

As president of Pacific Capital Strategies, Rodney Dir provides corporate leadership and vision to the organization.  Since 1985, Mr. Dir has specialized in comprehensive financial consulting for corporations, agricultural businesses, family farms and affluent individuals.  He focuses on asset protection, wealth management, retirement and business planning, and advanced estate and charitable planning for the ultra affluent.  Mr. Dir is a member of the Tulare-Kings Counties Estate Planning Council.  He is also a member of the Estate Advisory Group, an advanced Estate and Charitable Planning organization.
Since entering the industry, Mr. Dir has been involved in every aspect of financial planning.  In the past, this has included raising venture capital for companies, as well as assisting in their ongoing management.  In addition, he has helped many individuals with their business plans and with organizing, consulting, and investing in numerous private and pre-IPO companies.
Mr. Dir has served on the advisory boards of several institutions and has worked with their product development departments in assisting with the design of cutting-edge products for the financial services marketplace.  As a frequent speaker, he has been instrumental in educating school, business, peers and professional groups regarding various investment, asset protection, charitable and estate planning-related topics.  His speaking engagements have taken him across the United States as well as international engagements in Rome, Madrid and Montreux, Switzerland.
Mr. Dir is a registered representative and investment adviser representative of Commonwealth Financial Network, Member FINRA.  He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 62, 63, and 65 registrations and has also obtained his variable contracts licenses.  Mr. Dir has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh.  He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility.  In addition, Mr. Dir is a licensed independent insurance agent with the State of California, as well as with many other states nationwide.
In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Mr. Dir achieved membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).  This internationally recognized association represents the top 1% of financial services professionals worldwide.  In addition, his exceptional product knowledge, client service and ethical conduct have elevated Mr. Dir to their prestigious “Top of the Table”.  Earning membership in MDRT’s Top of the Table is a distinguishing career milestone and only attained by approximately 1,000 members worldwide.

Mr. Dir is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors or NAIFA.  NAIFA is the nation’s largest financial services membership association representing the interest of more than 70,000 insurance and financial advisors nationwide.  Mr. Dir is also a member of the International Forum.  The International Forum consists of 330 of the leading financial services professionals worldwide and provides an educational forum for the open exchange of diverse ideas and expertise to foster personal business and professional growth.  In addition, Mr. Dir is a current member of FSI, the Financial Services Institute.
Mr. Dir is also the Founder and President of the Rodney D. Dir/Pacific Capital Foundation. The Foundation is a charitable organization that supports the less fortunate in our local communities. On a more personal note, Mr. Dir is an active community volunteer who values family and friends. He has served on the boards of—and actively supports—several local charities.  Most recently, he spent seven years as a volunteer leader for a national high school youth organization.  Rod also enjoys outdoor sports, skydiving, and has been involved with competitive martial arts for the past 18 years. In the year 2011 and onwards, Rodney D. Dir is advisor of the international organization “Diplomatic Mission Peace And Prosperity” (DMPP), with offices in Albania, as and the journalist of the magazine “Eagle’s Wing”,  publication of this mission.
Rod and his wife, Lori, reside in Visalia, California.  Dr. Lori, as she is known, is a small-animal veterinarian at Care Veterinarian Clinic in Visalia.  Rod and Lori enjoy friends, family, traveling, the outdoors, and riding their horses together.
