The Diplomatic Mission for Peace and Development (DMPP) accredited to the UN, USA, EU, NATO, etc., and its international partners such as the US Diplomatic Mission for World Peace, the World Peace Academy, the United Nations University for World Peace and The World Diplomatic Corps honored the well – known activist and patriot Sali Bislimi in the first days of July.
But who is the son of Kosovo and all of Albania:
He was born in Topilla, municipality of Shtimje, Kosovo.
He completed primary and secondary school in his hometown.
He continued his university studies at the European University, in Struga, North Macedonia, where he studied Law and Political Science.
Very soon Sali Bislimi would become active in the political and social life of the time:
In 1993, he was the co-founder of the Association of Albanian Intellectuals in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
In 1993-1999- Chairman of the Albanian Community in Bernese Jura, Bern, Switzerland.
Representative of the Swiss Friendship Association of the Bernese Jura – Kosovo friendship.
French language translator for the Swiss Federal Authorities in the language Albanian – French.
Vice President of the Liberal Party of Kosovo and Coordinator for Cooperation with European Union Institutions.
In 2019, the prominent activist and patriot Sali Bislimi was awarded the Presidential Medal of Kosovo for his contribution and special merits for independence of Kosovo.
It is also decorated with the PLK “LIBERATORI” medal.
Saliu is currently the director of the Legal Office “First Consulting”, in Bern, Switzerland, where he lives and works for years, as well as the director of the NGO “Zëri Perendimor” of Kosovo.
Among other things, Sali Bislimi is also an exemplary family man, married and has three children.
